Sepang cops nab three squatters who made vacant house their home
SEPANG: Three people have been arrested for squatting in an empty house.
Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof said police arrested three Bangladeshi men at a vacant house on Monday (Jan 22) night following a report lodged in Terengganu.
He said the trio, aged between 21 and 30, confessed that they had been staying there for two months.
“It is believed that they broke the lock and fitted one of their own,” he said on Tuesday (Jan 23).
An acquaintance of the house owner noticed that the unit, which had been vacant for years, was being occupied by several foreigners.
According to a social media post, the owner of the property currently resides on the east coast of the peninsula.
