People always say, “Kids grow up so fast,” and this cannot be more true for former NBA star Yao Ming’s daughter Amy.
She’s only 13 but the tween has caught up in height to her 1.9m-tall former basketball player mum Ye Li.
Dad is a hulking 2.29m.
Recently, a netizen bumped into Ye Li and Amy on the streets and shared a snap of them, exclaiming: “Yao Ming’s daughter is so tall!”
In the pic, Amy, who looked like a giant towering over her grandma, appeared to be about the same height as Ye Li.
The viral photo sparked comments like, “If I meet them, I might feel like I’ve entered the land of Lilliput”, and “Can she give me 10cm?”
Yes, us too.
There were also some netizens who expressed concern that Amy’s height would cause difficulties or health issues for her in future.
Honestly, we can’t say we are surprised by Amy’s growth spurt.
When she was seven years old, she was reportedly already 1.6m.
Experts have predicted that Amy can reach a height of over 2m.
