HK Star, 26, Attempts Suicide After Receiving Online Hate For New Relationship 3 Months After Ex’s Death

Hong Kong singing show contestant Nathan Ngai (魏念恩), who gained fame after participating in ViuTV’s King Maker V last year, has been taken to hospital after an alleged suicide attempt.

According to HK01, at around 2am yesterday (Mar 18), Nathan’s friends noticed he had deleted all his social media posts. He also left this worrying message on Instagram Stories, writing: “So many emotions. Can’t let go. Sorry for everything. Goodbye world.”

Concerned for his safety, Nathan’s family filed a police report and a search was conducted in the vicinity of Yau Ma Tei and Sham Tseng.

It is understood that a man was found sitting on a railing by the sea in Sham Tseng and was taken to hospital for examination.

The man, who was not injured, was later identified as Nathan, 26.

The case has been classified as a suicide attempt.

Nathan was caught up in series of scandals when he was in the competition.

His ex-girlfriend Jessie fell to her death last May, sparking speculation that their relationship suffered after his participation in the show.

It was later revealed by his late girlfriend’s family that Nathan had borrowed money from her and pressured her to delete photos of them when they were dating.

He withdrew from the finals following the backlash.

Recently, he was reported to be dating starlet Day, who is a member of Hong Kong girl group COLLAR.

The couple have been seen holding hands and going on dates since August, just three months after Jessie’s death.

However, Day has denied that they are dating and Nathan did not respond to rumours.
