Taiwanese YouTuber Alisasa (爱莉莎莎), who is studying English in Brisbane, Australia, recently experienced an unpleasant encounter when she was attacked with eggs on the streets.
The 31-year-old took to Instagram Stories to share an account of the incident.
According to Alisasa, a group of teens were randomly throwing eggs at unsuspecting passers-by and she too got hit.
Although Alisasa did not appear in her video, the recording captured a girl from the group flashing her middle finger in another direction.
Then to her surprise, a warning was broadcast from speakers at a nearby bus stop: “This group of teens, please leave! There are CCTVs operating in this area, if you don’t leave I’ll call the police!”
Though there was no mention of whether the pranksters left after being warned, Alisasa was very impressed by how the incident was handled.
“So cool… The bus stop actually has such a feature,” she gushed.
Very cool indeed.
Alisasa was summoned to the Taiwan court earlier this month, allegedly because she had taken to social media to question the manipulation of votes during the presidential elections which took place in January. She was reportedly being sued by the Central Election Commission.
She failed to turn up to her hearing on March 20, and did not apply for a leave of absence as well. She would later reveal that she had no knowledge of the summons as she had already begun studying in Australia, and had no way of retrieving the court letter that was dated March 4.
Alisasa revealed that the reason for her summon was unspecified, leaving her rather perplexed. However, she has hired a lawyer to deal with the case, and in the meantime, has applied for a leave of absence.
