Remember when Hong Kong-based Singaporean make-up artist Zing said Carina Lau looks prettier barefaced? Well, here’s proof of it.

Last week, the 58-year-old Hong Kong actress took to Instagram to share snaps of herself when out for a run.

She encountered a downpour along the way, but instead of running for shelter, Carina, who was dressed in black with a visor, could be seen standing in the rain and taking it in.

“Suddenly there was a heavy rain, running in the rain is also a kind of enjoyment,” she wrote about her video.

But what caught the attention of netizens was how stunning Carina looked without any make-up or filters.

Her cheeks were slightly flushed from running and her complexion glowing.

There were comments like “Your natural look is stunning,” “Healthy is the most beautiful,” and “How many female stars dare to upload photos with no make-up like Carina?”

Many netizens also admired how she embraces life.

In recent years, Carina has taken on fewer acting roles and has been seen jet-setting with hubby Tony Leung on his work trips.

She previously shared that in her free time, she enjoys working out and is often seen on hikes with Chow Yun Fat.

“To me, beauty is [also] about doing sports — perspiring, increasing your metabolism, drinking more water, and resting more. These are the best beauty tips that I can give, and it’s free,” she said.

“[Beauty regimens] that need you to spend money on don’t really work for me. Exercising makes me a feel positive. I rest on weekends and I exercise Mondays to Fridays. I jog for half an hour and lift weights.”
