Bruce Lee’s Sweat-Stained White Top To Be Auctioned Off, Estimated To Fetch S$25K
Martial arts icon Bruce Lee may have passed away in 1973 but it seems his personal belongings are still a draw for the wealthy.
Julien’s Auctions very first show in Hong Kong is set to happen on September 28, with more than 40 items previously owned by the silver screen legend up for bidding.
While one would expect his iconic yellow jumpsuit or a pair of nunchakus to feature prominently, it is a inconspicous white top that is raising some eyebrows.
Worn in 1971’s The Big Boss, the 53-year-old sweat-stained shirt is estimated to fetch as much as HK$149K (S$25K) during the bidding.
Bruce may be a legend, but will his fans bite the bullet and bid for the white top?
The auction will feature a variety of weapons and accessories used by the late actor, including a pair of signature seals that are estimated to fetch up to HK$100K (S$16K)
Other than Bruce’s personal items, the auction will also feature items from other celebrities.
A pair of golden boots won by Taylor Swift during her Fearless tour in 2009 is set to be on the bidding table.
Even a personally signed sequined jacket from Michael Jackson is set to be up for bids.
Fans of K-pop band BTS will also have a chance to own the set of sleepwear worn by the band in their ‘Life Goes On’ music video.
Before the auction, the public will be able to view these items at the Legends in Motion exhibition from September 14 to 27.
