Girl Throws Tantrum On Podium After Coming In 2nd In Karate Competition

How would you react if your kid threw a tantrum in public? “Go home then you’ll find out” was what our mums would tell us.

A video of a little girl’s public outburst after coming in second in a karate competition has recently gone viral on TikTok, sparking debate amongst many parents.

Captioned “When you don’t want number two and just want first place”, the TikTok sees the young girl standing in second spot on a podium and looking very unhappy.

She repeatedly stomps her feet and when presented with her medal, crosses her arms and turns away. She also points at the first-place spot, and had to be persuaded by another adult, presumably her coach, to receive the medal.

She later shoots daggers at the first place winner and refused to stand next to the other medallists for a photo.

Netizens were amused by the girl’s diva behaviour, while others believed she’s the kind of kid “who’s used to getting her way” and should be taught a lesson about dealing with disappointment.

Here’s hoping that the girl will learn that coming in second place is an achievement too.

She was really upset
