Blackpink Lisa’s Look In HBO’s The White Lotus Likened To Domestic Helper By Netizens

If you haven’t heard, Lisa of K-pop girl group Blackpink will be making her acting debut in the third season of HBO’s The White Lotus.

Slated to premiere in 2025, Season 3 of the Emmy-winning drama is set in Thailand and the Thai star plays a resort employee named Mook.

HBO released a teaser earlier this week and in the eight-second clip, Lisa’s character can be seen greeting guests as they arrive at the hotel.

While netizens were thrilled to catch a glimpse of Lisa, many were not impressed with how she was styled in the series.

Their beef? Her “Southeast Asian vibe”.

There were comments that Lisa, dressed in a uniform with her hair tied up and little make-up, looked like a “typical” local.

Well, she is Thai. And she supposedly plays a hotel staff in the series.

She was also mocked for looking like a domestic helper.

“How could she look so different from her image in Korea?” asked one netizen, while another said: “So this is how she really looks.”
