The high price of snooping on cheating hubbies
SOME women are willing to pay up to RM50,000 to hire a private investigator to snoop on their husbands, according to an exclusive report by Kosmo!.
Most of those seeking the services of professional private investigators are wives of known personalities or VVIPs who suspect their husbands are being unfaithful.
According to Tun Security Services Sdn Bhd chief investigator Hafize Adnan, such cases dominate jobs taken by the company.
He related the case of a VVIP woman in her 60s.
“She claimed that her husband was involved in scandals with many women including ‘sugar babies’ and high-class prostitutes,” he told the Malay daily.
He said the investigations took about three weeks, which included travelling overseas.
The woman, he added, wanted to protect her rights.
Hafize said the evidence gathered by professional investigators, which includes video recording, photographs and receipts, is admissible in civil and Syariah court proceedings, with regard to alimony claims.
The initial payment to hire a private investigator can be RM800 and the bill can even exceed RM50,000, depending on the duration and complexity of the case.
Meanwhile, a private eye known only as Jay from ZNZ Delima Co said the company has handled over 1,000 cases since 2018, of which 12% were to spy on husbands suspected of having affairs. He said the company charged between RM150 and RM500 per hour with some clients making full payment upfront.
Jay said 37% of the cases the firm handled involved snooping on well-known men.
