KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman’s Wildlife Crime Bureau has solved 136 cases, made 387 arrests, and seized more than RM400mil worth of assets this year.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said this during his speech at the Internal Security and Public Order Department’s monthly assembly on Wednesday (Dec 18).

“This success was achieved through Ops Bersepadu Khazanah, Ops Tiris, Ops Kontraban, Ops E-Waste and many more,” he said.

He added that the Federal Reserve Unit had also conducted 34 raids, made 76 arrests, and seized RM37.1mil in assets.

Razarudin said the General Operations Force also had a positive impact through various arrests and had seized RM279mil in assets.

“The police should not just remain relevant but instead strive as the primary enforcement agency in the country in combating more complex threats and challenges,” he said.
