G-Dragon Left Lying On Stage Floor As Artistes Walk Around Him To Bid Farewell During Music Event Finale
One of Korea’s biggest year-end music events, SBS Gayo Daejeon, was held in Incheon on December 25, featuring a star-studded lineup that included K-pop acts Stray Kids, aespa, NewJeans, and more.
The highlight was the performance by rapper and leader of K-pop band Bigbang, G-Dragon (GD), who closed the show with a showstopping medley of three songs, new single ‘Power’ and Bigbang hits ‘Sober’ and ‘Crooked’.
But what was supposed to be a dramatic finale with GD lying on stage alongside his dancers at the end of his set turned into a chaotic one.
Before GD could get up, other performers were ushered onto the stage to bid farewell to the audience.
Many walked past or around GD without acknowledging him, leaving the audience puzzled.
Some initially thought it was part of the performance or a transition to another act, only to realise the show was over when the singers waved goodbye.
About 30 seconds later, GD stood up and left the stage, appearing somewhat fatigued.
The incident sparked heated discussions online, with many calling for better organisation and professionalism at such high-profile events.
Fans also slammed organisers for being “disrespectful” to GD.
