2025 Oscars fashion: Michelle Yeoh in striking blue, Blackpink’s Lisa suits up

Probably the biggest the night in showbiz, the 2025 Oscars gathered together the industry’s biggest stars. Each one dressed up in their best red carpet outfits for the night too.

Most of the celebrities opted for classic designs that remind of old Hollywood glamour. However, a few were a little more daring – cue Blackpink’s Lisa “suit dress”.

Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande (co-stars of the Wicked film) also pushed the envelope. The duo chose more sculptural gowns that stood out (perhaps it was an attempt to match up).

Colours remained muted, but pops of vibrant hues appeared occasionally. Malaysia’s Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh, for example, wore a bold blue design, which turned heads.

There were plenty of sparkle as well, plus lace, ruffles and long trains.

Colman Domingo also caught attention with his bright red ensemble. This was as all the other men choose classic tuxedos and suits (although Timothee Chalamet’s pastel one was certainly less-than-traditional).
