China’s First Corgi Police Dog In Trouble Again — This Time For Stealing Sausage From Kid During Patrol
Is it okay for the police to be the thief when he’s this cute?
Is it okay for the police to be the thief when he’s this cute?
The world gushed when Fuzai (aka Lucky Boy in Mandarin) was first introduced to the world as China’s first corgi police dog.
Who wouldn’t with that cheeky smile and stumpy limbs?
However, it seems that all this Internet fame (he has over 400K followers on Weibo alone) may be getting to his head.
The Shandong police pup was caught on video doing something quite uncharacteristic of a cop while he was out on patrol on Apr 26: He snatched a grilled sausage from a child’s hand before casually waddling away.
In an apology online, Fuzai’s trainer said he had been formally scolded, “Fuzai broke the rule of never taking anything from the public”.
Fuzai’s trainer also added that stricter food refusal training will follow.
To make amends for his most recent misendeavour, the four-legged felon was made to visit the girl at her kindergarten with his trainers where they gave her Fuzai-themed gifts and a kite.
Why do we think everyone will now want Fuzai to steal their snacks for such an experience?
This isn’t the first time that Fuzai has gotten into trouble with his boss. In January, the viral sensation made headlines as he was denied his year-end bonus of treats and toys for sleeping on the job and peeing in his food bowl.
However, in a video that was later posted to Weibo, he was rewarded anyway with a Lunar New Year meal of Pacific herring, pumpkin soup, colourful dumplings, rabbit meatballs, and a pet-friendly version of ‘Buddha Jumps Over the Wall’.
Wait, what was the punishment again?
