HK celeb couple Kenneth Ma, Roxanne Tong visit Malaysia together for the 1st time; actress shuts down pregnancy rumours

Hong Kong actor Kenneth Ma, 51, was in Malaysia on Saturday (June 28) with his wife, TVB actress Roxanne Tong, 38, for a beauty product meet-and-greet held at a local mall.

The two stars tied the knot in December 2023, after three years of dating. This is their first time visiting Malaysia together.

Photos and videos shared by fans on social media showed Tong in a loose-fitting top and long pants, standing beside her ever-attentive husband.

She looked radiant, but some netizens couldn’t help but speculate that her slightly fuller figure – and Ma’s doting behaviour – hinted at a possible pregnancy.

Later that night, Tong apparently addressed the speculation through two Instagram Stories.

“Just got my period while travelling – this is the worst timing. Any advice for fast pain relief?” she wrote.

In the second post, she added: “Also, how do I calm my irritability? (My husband asked for me.) I’m about to explode!”

Her candid posts not only shut down the pregnancy rumours but also earned praise for her refreshing honesty and humour in talking about period discomfort and mood swings.

To be fair, the speculation wasn’t completely unprompted – during the event, Ma shared Malaysia’s significance in their relationship.

“The first time I won Best Actor was in Malaysia,” he said. “And our first couple appearance is also here.

“I hope that when we take our first baby abroad, it will be to Malaysia!”

While sweet, the comment added fuel to the rumour mill.

The couple later told reporters they’re leaving baby plans to fate, with Tong saying that they’re currently “too busy” for that chapter.
