HONOR X9d 5G “dominates” with unmatched durability and performance

IT’S official—HONOR has raised the bar in the mid-range smartphone arena with the launch of the HONOR X9d 5G.

In rigorous tests, it survived being repeatedly shot with an air nail gun, blasted by a custom-built plasma cannon, dropped 50m down a flight of stairs and sprayed with a high-pressure water jet.

HONOR South Pacific president Justin Li highlighted how smartphones have evolved from nice-to-have gadgets into indispensable daily companions, making durability an ever-growing priority for users.

“Durability has always been part of HONOR’s DNA,” he explained, pointing out how the X-Series set the stage back in 2022.

With the arrival of the HONOR X9d 5G, that legacy has been reimagined and taken several notches higher.

Compared to the previous model’s 6,600mAh, the HONOR X9d 5G’s upgrade also delivers seven hours of standby, even at just 2%.

And with MagicOS 9.0’s Ultra Power Saving Mode, that last sliver of battery can still cover an hour of emergency calls or 24 minutes of WhatsApp chats.
