PDRM: You Can Now Get 50% Discount for All Your Unpaid Samans From 18th Jan to 1st Feb!

If you haven’t paid off all your samans, you just got lucky for waiting this long!

You can now get a 50% discount for all your outstanding summonses from 18th January to 1st February, said Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) director Datuk Azisman Alias.

What’s even better is that you don’t have to queue up for hours to pay your summonses like you used to do in the past. Instead, you can pay them online which makes it a whole lot faster and easier!

According to The Star, Azisman said that this year, the police are advising citizens to use e-payments to settle their outstanding summonses, especially during this festive season.

“You can make payments online via MyEG and Rilek.com.my,” he said in a special press conference in conjunction with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) 2019 achievements and 2020 plans here Monday (Jan 13).

He added that 5,763 cases of fatal accidents were reported last year compared to 5,870 cases in the previous year, 2018.

“This is JSPT’s key performance index where we have reduced fatal accidents by 107 cases or 1.8%. Although the number is small, this is our KPI, and we expect this number to reduce every year,” he said.

It’s great to hear that the yearly amount of traffic accidents have been reduced! And if you’ve got some unsettled payments to do, hop online and pay them off this 18th January to 1st February.
