M’sian Pharmacist Recommends 2 Sprays That Can Help Kill Influenza A Virus At Home
Influenza season is here and people are falling sick all over Malaysia. It’s important to take precautionary measures to avoid getting infected with this virus, which is especially dangerous for people such as young babies, senior citizens and those with weakened immune systems.
A Malaysian male pharmacist recently shared a few items that are highly useful to eliminate the virus from your home by using some disinfecting sprays. He recommended two sprays that are easily available in the market which can be used to kill germs and viruses as well as prevent influenza infection.
Based on his Facebook post, he said that a lot of people had been asking him how to avoid getting influenza especially if they were heading to crowded places such as malls. Hence, he shared his knowledge, saying that there were two sprays there were quite effective. A few other netizens also shared their experience and recommended similar sprays, advising worried parents to use them to kill dangerous bacteria and viruses.
1. Against 24 Disinfectant
This spray promises to eliminate microbes after 30 seconds and lasts for 24 hours after usage. The main ingredient, silver dihydrogen citrate is a new antimicrobial that is colourless, odourless, tasteless, non-toxic and non-caustic. Silver dihydrogen citrate is recognised as an ingredient that can kill bacteria, fungus and viruses easily. Against 24 has the dual function of being a disinfecting and sterilising spray. It is said to be safe to use for babies and for the body as well but do check properly with a medical professional before you doing so.
2. Dettol Disinfectant Spray
Dettol Disinfectant Spray has been proven to kill 99.9% of germs, viruses and bacteria. It is an alcohol-based spray and needs to be sprayed more frequently and this spray has a fresh fragrance as well. This spray can be used on non-porous surfaces that you come into contact with every day and has a deodorising effect. This spray cannot be used on bodies but the fumes are safe for pregnant women and babies.
