Hiking Will Be Allowed Starting 15 June With SOPs to Follow, Confirms Youth & Sports Ministry
Today (10 June) marks the first day of the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) and many business are reopening while many Malaysians are heading back to their office for good. In the days to come, many activities will slowly be allowed as things start to look ‘normal’ again.
A few days ago, gyms and various recreational activities were announced to be reopening during the RMCO but many have been confused as to what exactly they can or cannot do, hiking is one of them.
Well, the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) has confirmed that hiking will be allowed starting 15 June, reported Harian Metro.
Of course, hikers will have to comply with social distancing measures and standard operating procedures, according to the ministry’s official Facebook page, KBSMalaysia.
This was in response to netizens’ questions on whether hiking was among the sports and recreational activities that will be allowed starting 15 June.
It’s great that we can slowly start to return to our usual activities before the Movement Control Order started, but remember that there are SOPs to follow. Take care of yourselves out there!
