40,000 Jobs To Be Offered To Malaysians From These 10 Companies

Many have lost their jobs during the Movement Control Order (MCO) as a result from the Covid-19 nightmare.

To help locals who have become jobless, the government has launched the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) National Economic Recovery Plan (PENJANA). This will make way for 40,000 jobs for Malaysians.

Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M. Saravanan spoke to Bernama about the aforementioned initiative. “The job opportunities will be opened up in stages within six months from now,” he told the publication. The move will not only help jobless Malaysians learn a new skill but also earn some income again.

From this initiative, 10 organisations have step forth and will be providing jobs and skills training. They include:

  1. Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB)
  2. Grab
  3. Malaysia Digital Economy (MDEC)
  4. National Tech Association of Malaysia (Pikom)
  5. Federation of Malaysian Manufacturer
  6. Brickfields Asia College
  7. AEON
  8. Kelly
  9. 7Eleven
  10. Care Concierge

HRDF will also be carrying out five strategic initiatives that consist of:

  • Placement and training
  • Skills enhancement and new skills training
  • Small and medium-scale industries development (SME)
  • B40 development
  • ‘Gerak insan gemilang’ (GIG)

Who are the target candidates you asked? Saravanan shared that “jobless graduates with diploma or degrees, local workers, SME owners and workers, Malaysians from the B40 group and youths” will benefit from this project.
