Mia Khalifa Says Her Porn Clips “Will Haunt Me Until I Die”

Cyberbullying is something Mia Khalifa faces on a daily basis. However, someone went even further by creating a death hoax about her on social media.

News soon began to spread that the former porn star had committed suicide. As a result, she’s been receiving condolence flowers from her friends. Instead of feeling upset about the whole ordeal, she decided to be candid about it.

Thanks for summarizing the wildest night of my life, @phillydefranco! Fitting that I spent it eating gummy bears in bed from 11pm to 7am, with the yellow night shift light of my iPhone screen blazing my retinas. Guess all I had to do was die and be a born again virgin for them to finally let me live ??. . . . I know it began as a joke last night, but I just want to thank you all. Your voices of support and words of kindness, and acceptance, and defense, and energy is humbling and so appreciated. I’ve had my comments turned off to the public for the last year because they were flooded with hate. It was to the point where I never saw anything that wasn’t a direct shaming of my past, and it was affecting my mental health, as well as my marriage, from all the constant reminders. I feel like I’m now at a place where I have a community on here. I’ve been seeing your messages and posts the last couple of months, DMing and getting to know y’all, finding out who you are and how much we have in common, and I don’t want to stop! I want to talk to all you ladies, and I’m going to try my hardest to! I love y’all you so much. Thank you for seeing me ♥️

Although it’s been 6 years since Mia quit the porn industry, her x-rated videos – 11 in total (according to Republic World) – remains one of the top views to this day. As she looks back, the 27-year-old now regrets the 3 months spent doing porn back in 2014.

Mia is now determined to urge young girls to consider the consequences before going into porn. Sure, it’s a fast option to earn money but the consequences down the road can be quite traumatising. In her opinion, the long term effects is not worth the mental toll one has to suffer afterwards.

Throughout the quarantine period, Mia and her husband Robert Sandberg have been sharing cute pictures and videos on TikTok. But yesterday (Wednesday, 24th June), the Lebanese public figure uploaded a somber post reflecting on the past few years.

That hourly dissociative attack from remembering hundreds of millions of people’s only impression of you is solely based on the lowest, most toxic, most uncharacteristic 3 months of your life when you were 21,” she wrote.

It’s also a misconception that Mia has been living a rich lifestyle since retiring from porn. According to reports, the public figure only made around £9,600 (~RM51,000) form her videos and hasn’t earn a single cent since quitting.

When a netizen commented, “No offence dear but your rich and don’t have to work a 9-5 or struggle to pay bills. So I can’t feel sorry“, Mia replied, “The efficiency I lived in after porn begs to differ ?? Didn’t make a dime directly because of my name and platform.”

It’s nice to see Mia feeling empowered to speak up.
