Malaysians To Receive RM50 eWallet Credit By End Of July
Remember when the government previously announced that Malaysian citizens will stand to receive RM50 e-wallet credit under the ePenjana initiative?
We’re midway through July and most people are still wondering if it’s still happening. Berita Harian recently provided some updates and confirmed that those who have downloaded the MySejahtera app will receive it by the end of this month.
To quote The Rakyat Post, here are 3 things to take note:
- What you need to know: Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz shared that final details regarding the mechanism to credit the RM50 into eWallets will be revealed soon.
- Why it matters: ePenjana is under the Economic Recovery Plan (PENJANA) to revitalise Malaysia’s economy.
- Who is eligible: All Malaysians aged 18 years and above, with an annual income of less than RM100,000.
Unlike the previous RM30 eTunai Rakyat in January, this RM50 credit will be limited to offline and physical purchases only. In addition, Malaysians will also get an extra RM50 value in the form of vouchers, cashbacks and discounts.
