Veteran Hongkong stars Patrick Tse, 85, and Deborah Lee, 70, have shown that it’s possible for divorced exes to be friends.
Patrick and Deborah, who were married from 1979 to 1996 and are the parents of Jennifer and Nicholas Tse, have remained close 26 years after their divorce.
Who says you can’t be friends after breaking up?
Recently, they met up for a meal with other people, including Deborah’s current husband, Kong Yiu Sing, whom she wed in 2000.
Although their party of more than 10 had to be separated due to COVID-19 restrictions, Patrick and Deborah chose to sit together.
Deborah also helped Patrick adjust his mask after the meal, and even gave him a goodbye kiss on the cheek while he hugged her.

After pics of the gathering were shared online, netizens hailed Patrick and Deborah as “model divorced exes” because of how well they get along.
One netizen quipped that Wang Leehom “should get some tips from Patrick on how to get along with his ex”.
Another wrote: “If Patrick and Deborah write a book on how to have an amicable divorce, I think it’ll be an instant bestseller!”
Then there was this netizen who said: “Showbiz couples always claim they parted on good terms, but none of them get along as well as Patrick and Deborah. They’re the only ones who made good on their word to remain friends.”
