Katie Lowes Corrects the Wikipedia Inaccuracy About Her Age, Reveals Birthday Plans
Katie Lowes has a milestone birthday coming up, but an inaccurate Wikipedia article might have led fans to believe that she already had that birthday!
The Scandal and Inventing Anna actress opened up about it on The Ellen DeGeneres Show with guest host Mario Lopez, for an episode that aired on Thursday (April 21).
“I need to make this statement that on Wikipedia it says I was born in 1981 and says I’m 41. So this year on my 39th birthday, I was getting a million texts like, ‘It’s the big one! Happy birthday,’” Katie said.
She added, “I don’t why or how they got it wrong, but they did. I turn 40 this year. I swear. If anyone wants to look at my birth certificate or my driver’s license, it is September 22, 1982. So this year I’m turning 40.”
“I want to have a rager. I just feel like it’s been a time. I want to throw like a ’90s high school jam with kegs and like dancing and red solo cups. People are peeing on the lawn, that’s gross, but come on, you guys know what I’m talking about,” she joked. “That’s the kind of party I’d like to throw. Fingers crossed it happens.”
Katie played a real-life person in Inventing Anna and that person has reacted to the portrayal.
