G-Dragon Rumoured To Be Dating 18yo IVE’s Jang Wonyoung

G-Dragon (지드래곤) is currently trending on social media due to a love interest! This time, it is rumoured that the BIGBANG leader is in a romantic relationship with Jang Wonyoung (장원영), a member of the rookie girl group IVE. For those who are curious, the rumour was first brought to light by the infamous YouTuber Sojang.

Back on 6th October, GD drew attention after he shared a photo of the gift that he received from the luxury brand Miu Miu. “Thanks for the lovely gift from @miumiu,” the famous idol captioned his post. In the same post, he also attached a GIF of Wonyoung, who is the global ambassador of the Italian high fashion brand.

A couple of days after GD posted on his socials, YouTuber Sojang published a new video on their channel. They speculated the seasoned singer is dating the young idol, who is currently 18 years old. In the video, Sojang pointed out that GD chose the Wonyoung sticker himself and purposely put the sticker below the word, “Lovely”.

As if that wasn’t enough, the controversial content creator also went on and claimed that GD had apparently left his (rumoured) beau Jennie for Wonyoung. In particular, the YouTuber mentioned that the male icon has shifted his interest to Miu Miu, despite him being a loyal representative of Chanel.

Following this, some netizens were quick to leave hate comments towards G-Dragon. In this case, the “Still Life” singer was badly condemned for “targeting” minors like Wonyoung. “Isn’t he hitting on her?” one netizen questioned on the replies section. “A 34-year-old man involved in a dating rumour with an 18-year-old? This is crazy,” another commentator added.

Fans of G-Dragon also came forward to defend him from the haters. Most of them took to social media (particularly Twitter) and trended the hashtag “#FreeGDragon”. In light of this, fans are calling for GD’s agency, YG Entertainment, to take immediate action and free the male idol from rumours and defamatory remarks spread by the YouTuber.
