Gwen Stefani Feels Sorry for ‘The Voice’ Fans Ahead of Blake Shelton’s Exit
Gwen Stefani is addressing Blake Shelton‘s upcoming exit from The Voice.
Earlier this month, the 46-year-old country star confirmed that the upcoming 2023 season – Season 23 – will be his last as a coach on the show.
On Wednesday evening (October 26), the 53-year-old “Hollaback Girl” singer and Blake stepped out for the 2022 Matrix Awards held at The Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City.
While on the red carpet, Gwen explained why she feels sorry for The Voice viewer’s regarding Blake‘s exit.
“He’s brought so much joy. He’s so talented,” Gwen told Entertainment Tonight. “I know people just wait around to laugh and watch him on TV, so I feel sorry for everybody [that] he’s gonna be gone.”
“It’s so weird Blake Shelton is leaving The Voice. I wasn’t ready, you know what I mean? I have to figure out who this new Blake’s gonna be,” Gwen added. “I’m just so proud of him.”
