Taylor Swift Is Already Breaking 2023 Sales Records with ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’
Taylor Swift‘s new album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) hasn’t even been available for a full week, but it’s already breaking sales records for 2023.
The 33-year-old singer has a big hit on her hands with the re-recorded version of her third studio album, which was originally released back in 2010.
Billboard reports that with just four days of release, Speak Now (TV) has already achieved the biggest week for any album this year and it’s also the biggest week since Taylor‘s 2022 album Midnights was released.
575,000 equivalent album units have been moved so far in the first four days of release.
Of that number, 400,000 copies are album sales with 225,000 copies being on vinyl. That means 175,000 copies have been sold through CDs, digital downloads, and cassette tapes.
175,000 units are from streaming with the 22 songs collecting more than 200 million streams.
“I Can See You,” one of the songs from the vault, is the most streamed song on the album so far with 13 million streams in the first four days of tracking, according to Billboard.
