Taiwanese Host Mickey Huang Investigated in Sexual Harassment Case
Taiwanese variety show host Mickey Huang (黃子佼) is currently being investigated as the perpetrator of sexual harassment crimes. Police are looking into the case and have searched Mickey’s home to gather evidence.
In July, a female netizen exposed she was sexually harassed by Mickey when she was only 17 years old and pressured to take topless photos. Although the event of the initial accusations took place more than 10 years ago, Mickey was consumed with guilt and shame over his actions during his youth. He apologized for his wrongdoings and attempted to cut himself with knives which led to his hospitalization.
A second victim also came forward and accused Mickey of coaxing her into taking nude photos.
In addition to the sexual harassment claims, the police have also allegedly received tips that Mickey was involved in other crimes, including forced obscenity and drug use. Currently being investigated, Mickey was brought in for questioning last week. He was later released after posting bail for 350,000 Taiwanese dollar . In addition to travel restrictions, Mickey is also prohibited from contacting and harassing his alleged victims and families. As there has been a complaint filed against Mickey, prosecutors have attained warrants to search Mickey’s residence and seized his electronic devices for investigation.
