Ng was a leader who contributed much to Selangor and its people, says Dr Wee

PETALING JAYA: The late Datuk Ng Chok Sin was a state leader who contributed much to Selangor and its people, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

“We paid our last respects to the late Datuk Ng Chok Sin, who had contributed much to the people, especially those in Selangor, the party and the nation.

“May his family be comforted at this very difficult time as they mourn his sudden departure,” the MCA president wrote in a Facebook post on Monday (Aug 28).

Dr Wee was accompanied by several national and state party leaders when visiting Ng’s family in Kampung Baru, Sungai Pelek, Sepang where the funeral ceremony and wake was held.

Among those present were MCA secretary-general Datuk Chong Sin Woon, vice-president Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker, treasurer-general Datuk Lawrence Low.

Also accompanying Dr Wee were central committee members Chan Quin Er, Datuk Koh Chin Han, Lawrence Chiew Khai Heng, Yap Siok Moy, Dato’ Quek Tai Seong and Tee Hooi Ling.

Selangor MCA deputy chairman Tan Gim Tuan, MCA youth vice chairman Chua Hock Kuan, MCA Klang division chief Datuk Steven Lim were also present.

Chok Sin was appointed Selangor MCA chief in 2018.

He had previously also served as Selangor MCA secretary, MCA central committee member, MCA Youth deputy secretary and Selangor MCA Youth treasurer-general.Chok Sin also represented Barisan Nasional in Sungai Pelek in the 2013 and 2018 general elections.

Chok Sin, 55, a local from Sungai Pelek, passed away on Sunday (Aug 27) and leaves behind his wife and four children.
