Fans Urge SM Entertainment To Treat NCT’s Jaemin Better, Calling Out Alleged Mistreatment

They have noticed multiple instances where it appeared he was treated unfairly.

NCTzens are calling for fair and equal treatment of NCT‘s Jaemin.

Over time, NCTzens have noticed what appears to be an unequal treatment for the NCT members, particularly Jaemin. Recently, there have been multiple instances that have fans concerned.

During promotions for NCT DREAM‘s third studio album ISTJ, Jaemin’s TikTok videos were allegedly filmed only on the filming sites of the MV set or concerts. NCTzens found this strange as other members have filmed at other locations and with other artists. Yet, Jaemin himself has mentioned filming challenges with others during Star Chatting Event sessions.

Likewise, NCTzens have found that he has lacked in terms of promotions and opportunities for his career despite being multi-talented as a dancer, singer, rapper, and songwriter. Yet, it appears he has been given the least lines and parts in participation for recent group comebacks such as NCT 2023 – Golden Age and 2023 NCT Concert – NCT Nation : To The World. 

NCTzens also couldn’t help but notice that Jaemin’s poster for the 2023 NCT Concert – NCT Nation : To The World was unlike the others but not in the way you would expect. Everyone had a unique concept photo for their respective poster but Jaemin.

There have even been instances where Jaemin was excluded from a poster and VCR. Haechan has explained that in the case of the VCR, they were sick with COVID-19 and could not film.

Despite Jaemin being a member of SM Entertainment‘s actor line that was awarded “Best Actor – Korean Award” for the web drama Way to Dislike at The 2020 Seoul Webfest Awards, he has been given no acting opportunities since. NCTzens are confused, considering other NCT members have since starred in drama series.

Likewise, Jaemin has not accepted any brand deals. Considering his popularity, this is also peculiar to NCTzens.

There are even alarming concerns about Jaemin’s styling. Besides being given little to no accessories and repetitive styling, Jaemin also often appears to be given shoes and clothing, including pants that are too big for his size. Considering the group’s choreography, this is dangerous for an artist, potentially resulting in injury.

Consequently, NCTzens are trending #SM_BeFairToJAEMIN and #JaeminDeservesBetter, urging SM Entertainment to treat Jaemin better. His fans have also sent mass emails to the company.
