NMIXX Addresses The Shocking Moment A Baby Was Placed On Their Stage
A fan at NMIXX’s Seattle show came under fire after placing their baby on stage.
Earlier this year, NMIXX faced a truly unexpected moment on their NICE TO MIXX YOU showcase tour when a baby was placed on the stage, and they handled the situation with swift professionalism.
NMIXX went on their first-ever showcase tour across Asia and North America, and the group’s exciting first stop was in Seattle, Washington on May 2, 2023.
The JYP Entertainment group showed off their incredible vocal talents and charming personalities during their first U.S. performances and recently returned to the States for KCON LA 2023, during which they caught up with DJ and Billboard host Tetris for a quick interview.
One thing Tetris wanted to know about was the viral moment involving “the baby.” Tetris was, of course, referring to the shocking moment when a fan in the front row placed their baby onto the stage while NMIXX was performing.
Multiple videos with different angles of the concerning moment were uploaded online. In the video, maknae Kyujin spots the baby crawling on the stage and further away from the crowd. She rushed forward and picked up the baby, handing them back to their parent while looking concerned and confused.
The videos quickly went viral as netizens overwhelmingly expressed concern for the baby’s safety in the loud and crowded environment of the concert and outrage that the fan would place the baby on the stage in the first place. Others felt for the NMIXX member who was seemingly put in an uncomfortable situation.
Kyujin addressed how she felt in the moment during NMIXX’s Billboard interview, acting out her surprise and motioning as if she couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
It looked so dangerous so I gave the baby [back to the] baby’s mom.

Lily added that, before then, they had never had that happen, while Tetris hilariously said he didn’t think it had happened to anyone before.
It was quite surprising, so we were just kind of like, ‘Oh! What should we do?!’ But I think Kyujin handled it very well…
