Chinese actress Esther Yu Shuxin (虞书欣), who shot to fame with hit 2022 period drama Love Between Fairy and Devil, is making waves as a fashionista.

The 27-year-old, who is currently filming her new drama in Hengdian, recently caught the media’s attention after she was photographed turning up to work every day looking very fashionably dressed.

Netizens began documenting her OOTDs, even joking that she’s staging her own one-woman Hengdian Fashion Week.

One outfit, in particular, has attracted significant attention.

Her sexy pink and black lace corset top and matching asymmetrical skirt has been likened to lingerie and some netizens even described the actress as “going to work in lingerie”.

During an interview to promote her new drama My Journey To You, Esther was asked why she puts so much effort into dressing up every day.

She replied: “Whether I’m dressed casually or nicely, I’ll still be photographed by many people. So why not just dress a bit nicer? Actually, I only need to spend 10 or 20 minutes [to coordinate the look].”

She added that she began to experiment with her style after she was stuck in a fashion rut: “I didn’t know what other styles to try. So I thought I might as well take this path and diversify a bit, to experiment more. I think I should dress up more, try more combinations. I’m also learning.”
