Doctor killed in fatal accident on way to Klebang Besar in Melaka
MELAKA: A 41-year-old doctor was killed after being involved in a fatal accident while heading home after completing his shift at a hospital here.
Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit identified the victim as Dr Sandeep Singh Panthlia, who succumbed to serious head and body injuries on the spot in the 9.40am accident on Thursday (Oct 5).
He said the victim’s car skidded and rammed into a lorry on Jalan Krubong here.
ACP Christopher Patit said the victim was driving from Alor Gajah to Klebang Besar here when the accident occurred.
He said the 57-year-old lorry driver who was driving on the opposite side of the road also suffered injuries.
ACP Christopher Patit said the accident is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
