JPA approves 1,912 vacancies for medical, dental and pharmacy officers

PETALING JAYA: The Public Services Department (JPA), in line with the request from the Health Ministry on Sept 25 and 26, has approved 1,912 reserve candidates for medical, dental and pharmacy officers to fill in the vacancy for permanent jobs.

The approval involves 1,226 reserve candidates for medical officers, 216 reserve candidates for dental officers and 470 reserve candidates for pharmacy.

“The appointments are in line with the balance of vacancies available and approval for permanent appointments for 2023,” said the Health Ministry in a statement on Tuesday (Oct 10).

It said the offer and acceptance of the appointments was being implemented through the Appointment Offer System of JPA (MySTP SPA) within 21 days from Oct 2.

“To ensure transparency in the implementation, all candidates are given space to choose their placements online through the e-placement or e-houseman system for medical officers, e-dentist system for dental officers and e-pharmacist for pharmacists,” it said.

The statement said the vacancies in the Klang Valley and Federal Territory were limited and couples can plan and choose placements outside the Klang Valley, including in rural areas of the peninsula, Sabah and Sarawak.

“This is also good as it reduces the cost of living and officers are entitled to various incentive payments and will have a different working experience.

“The candidates are also requested to check the placement dates through their personal email which is registered in the SPA9 portal during application and make the necessary arrangements.
