DAP veterans club lodges police report against Siti Mastura

KEPALA BATAS: The National DAP Veterans Club has lodged a police report against Kepala Batas MP Dr Siti Mastura Muhammad, who claimed that DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng has family ties with Chin Peng, the former Malayan Communist Party leader.

Its chairman, Lay Hock Peng, said they lodged a police report so appropriate action could be taken by the authorities.

He said he watched a recording of Siti Mastura’s speech at an event, particularly at the 24th minute of the footage.

“I found these baseless claims were malicious, involving Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang and his family, linking the family with Chin Peng,” he told reporters after making a police report at the Seberang Prai Utara district police headquarters on Saturday (Nov 11).

He said the act was possibly intended to distort facts, make up stories and create a negative perception of Kit Siang and his family.

This is the second police report lodged by a DAP leader, after Bukit Bendera MP Syerleena Abdul Rashid made a report at the Brickfields police station on Friday (Nov 10).

It was also reported that Guan Eng initiated legal action against Siti Mastura following her claims when speaking at the event in November. – Bernama
