The Internet Is Losing It Over Cha Eun Woo’s Kissing Scene … With A Dog?!
There’s a reason for that. The female lead in his new drama A Good Day To Be A Dog turns into a dog because of a curse, and Eun Woo’s kiss helps her return to her natural form.
Anyone who’s into Korean pop culture will know Cha Eun Woo. The 26-year-old heartthrob and member of boyband Astro has starred in some of the most popular K-dramas, including Gangnam Beauty (2018) and True Beauty (2020).
Eun Woo currently stars in a A Good Day To Be A Dog, which was adapted from a popular webtoon of the same name.
He stars as a high school teacher who has a fear of dogs due to a traumatic incident from his childhood. His co-star Korean actress Park Gyu Young plays a teacher, who is cursed to turn into a dog when kissed.
And, surprise, surprise, her curse is only lifted when Eun Woo kisses her.
The drama is now on its eighth episode, which happens to be when Eun Woo finds out about his leading lady’s curse.
He — spoiler alert — overcomes his fear, kisses her, well, kisses the dog, and ends the curse. Unsurprisingly, the internet goes crazy with envy.
The scene starts with Eun Woo picking up an adorable pup, and he proceeds to stare into its eyes.
He then plants a kiss on the dog, who magically turns into Gyu Young.
After he learns the truth, they share a passionate kiss, so passionate that many of his fans say that it’s the first time the actor has had such an intense make-out sesh in a drama.
In fact, they loved it so much, they screen-grabbed the entire scene and edited its lighting just so they could better see Eun Woo in action.
The scene has not only gone viral in Korea, Chinese fans are just as gaga over it.
A Weibo comment read: “Park Gyu Young is so lucky. I don’t think her smile after the kiss is an act.”
