Zayn Rayyan murder: Cops’ focus shifts to storage facility
PETALING JAYA: Police are redirecting their focus on a storage facility located 50m from Block R, Apartment Idaman here in their investigation into the murder of six-year-old autistic boy Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin.
As the investigation enters its fourth day on Sunday (Dec 10), reporters observed two police sniffer dogs and personnel from the forensic unit inspecting the site for almost four hours.

The two sniffer dogs, Gucci and Ricks, from Bukit Aman and the KLIA district police headquarters were led into the structure that is believed to store motorcycles, plastic chairs and canopies.
One of the dogs was later taken into Block R to inspect several apartment units.

The owner of the storage facility, Noraini Ahmad, 51, said it is always locked and only opened to take out motorcycles for her family members.
“About half an hour after the tracker dogs were taken into the store, police said the inspection was done and allowed me to lock it.

“But shortly after, they asked me to unlock it again for further inspection,” she said.
After almost four hours later at about 2.15pm, the K9 and forensic units were seen leaving the location.

Earlier, Selangor deputy police chief Datuk S Sasikala Devi surveyed the location at about 11.15am.
On Saturday (Dec 9), two other sniffer dogs, Falco and Jimmy, were taken to the spot where Zayn Rayyan’s body was found near Block R. – Bernama
