Cabinet reshuffle: Line-up gives added value to unity govt, says Rafizi
IPOH: The new Cabinet line-up gives “added value” to the unity government’s administration, says Rafizi Ramli.
The Economy Minister, who retained his position, advised elected politicians to adopt a positive mindset.
“Ministers like me focus on our duties and if we retained our position, it showed that we have added value to the government,” he told reporters after launching the Northern Corridor Economic Region’s Farming Entrepreneur Initiative under the People’s Income Initiative at Hospital Bahagia Ulu Kinta here Tuesday (Dec 12).

“If we are asked to continue (elsewhere), I choose to be positive, (and think) that perhaps I have that added value at a different place,” he said.
Rafizi said it was the Prime Minister’s right to decide on a Cabinet reshuffle.
“I haven’t seen the list yet but I believe the duty of a minister means we serve at the pleasure of the country.
“It is a responsibility, privilege and a burden as well.
“All elected politicians should have that kind of attitude because we serve the people,” he added.

Earlier, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced a Cabinet reshuffle, with Rafizi and his deputy Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib retaining their positions.
V. Sivakumar was dropped as the Human Resources Minister and replaced with former deputy finance minister II Steven Sim, while several others swapped portfolios.
Datuk Seri Dr Zulkefly Ahmad was reappointed as the Health Minister, a post he held from 2018 to 2020, replacing Dr Zaliha Mustafa who will be in charge of the Federal Territories.
