KTMB train services restored after crane mishap near Rawang

PETALING JAYA: All Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) services affected by a crane that collapsed near the Rawang train station have been restored.

Services resumed with train no 2303 leaving at 5.35am on Thursday (Dec 14) from Tanjung Malim to the Sungai Buloh station.

“KTMB apologises for the disruption due to the crane, which collapsed on the railway track between Rawang and Kuang on Dec 12 and thank all the passengers affected and appreciate their understanding,” said KTMB in a statement

At about 5.33pm on Tuesday (Dec 12) a crane collapsed at Kilometre (KM) 355.749 of the train tracks between Rawang and Kuang stations.

The construction crane sank at the site and tilted towards the tracks, causing the upper part of the crane, the cables and components to break and fall on the overhead line and railway track.
