Dee Hsu Freaked Out When She Accidentally Kicked Her Hubby’s Bearbrick Figure

Even the vivacious Taiwanese host knows to never mess with a man’s toys.

When you think of streetwear collectibles, Bearbrick figures are one of the first to come to mind.

Thanks to collaborations with famous brands and artists, the designer toys, which are much sought-after by collectors and fashionistas, can be worth a lot.

Remember how many Bearbricks were seized in the Singapore money laundering case this year?

So we don’t blame Taiwanese host Dee Hsu for being super worried when she accidentally knocked over her husband’s Bearbrick figure.

Oops!

Earlier this week, the 45-year-old took to Instagram to post a video of the incident.

“I should just go to the dance studio for lessons in future,” she wrote.

In the clip, Dee can be seen dancing energetically with her instructor at home.

While executing a kick, she accidentally knocked over a Bearbrick figure on the floor, causing it to fall over with a crash.

Dee immediately shrieked, “Ah! Oh my god! It’s my husband’s treasure!” before kneeling to check on the toy.

Phew, looks fine.

“Are you okay? Is the leg broken? Should be okay, right? Should we post this

?” she asked her instructor.

“I don’t know how my husband will react if he sees this. I’m dead.”

She then proceeded to kowtow to the figure, saying: “I’m sorry,” as her instructor tried to console her.

“I kicked too hard just now, you can kick me back,” she said, hitting her stomach with the toy’s feet.

We think she should be apologising to her hubby instead

Netizens were amused by the video, with many curious about how Dee’s husband reacted when she broke the news to him.

Some joked that Dee, who is known to enjoy a drink, “probably danced after a few glasses” and that the “toy might seek revenge in the middle of the night”.

She can take consolation that it isn’t a much sought-after Bearbrick

Depending on their design, Bearbrick collectibles of that 1000% size (70cm tall) can command anything from NT$15K to NT$40K (around S$640 to S$1.7K). Limited editions are priced from more than NT$100K (S$4.3K).

While Dee did not mention how much her husband’s UFO Robot Grendizer 1000%, which has been in the market since 2016, cost, a similar one currently retails for £1.24K (around S$1.9K) on eBay.
