The banquet, which was held at Emerald Bay on the private Pangkor Island, was reportedly a promise to Michelle’s mum, who claimed she was not informed of the couple’s July nuptials.
Michelle and Jean were engaged for 19 years.
According to reports, more than a hundred family and friends, including director Luc Besson were invited to the dinner.
The green and peach-themed venue was adorned with long tables and breathtaking décor, including tassels and flowerarrangements hanging from the ceiling.
From Michelle’s gowns to the wedding favours and invitations, everything was designed and planned by Taiwanese designer and founder of her eponymous luxury fashion house, Shiatzy Chen.
The bride wore two dresses. The first a peach lace gown, paired with lace shorts.
The second an off-shoulder hand-embroidered silk frock in “Michelle Yeoh’s favourite shade of green”, for the reception in the day.
Prior to the island wedding, the couple had a small reception for family and friends at Ipoh restaurant Little Katong last weekend.
The eatery shared snaps from the party which showed the casually dressed couple mingling with guests.
Michelle even brought her Oscar statuette, which was displayed on a counter.
