Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee Rave Over New Roles in “Gyeongseong Creature”

Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee have been confirmed to be the leads for Gyeonseong Creature, a fantasy thriller that is written by Dr. Romantic screenwriter Kang Eun Kyung and directed by Jung Dong Yoon of Stove League. Officially kicking off filming in January, the drama is slated to be released in 2023.

The story is set in the spring of 1945, in Gyeongseong which is the former name of Seoul. Centered around two characters and their fight for survival against monsters, the drama stirs reflections on the meaning of a person’s pride and values.

Jang Tae Sang (Park Seo Joon) is a rich and influential man in Bukchon who is known as a reliable source for information. With his charisma, keen observation skills, and quick reaction time, he quickly ascends to a position of power. Although he chooses to believe in the reality before his eyes, he re-evaluates his choices and faces his fears after meeting Yoon Chae Ok (Han So Hee).

Yoon Chae Ok is a famous missing person’s investigator, who is even able to find people who have passed away! As a young child, she had traveled between Manchuria and Shanghai with her father, developing survival skills and becoming adept at handling different types of weaponry. Arriving in Gyeongseong in search of her mother who went missing 10 years ago, she encounters Jang Tae Sang. While following a series of mysterious missing person cases, they discover a terrible reality.

Both stars enthused about their new roles in Gyeonseong Creature. Park Seo Joon expressed that he has always been interested in the historical Gyeongseong era, and is very happy to have come across this drama. Han So Hee praised her layered character, who despite her strong exterior is actually very warm inside.
