Netizens Criticize SBS After WayV’s Ten Falls Into A Lift During The “2023 SBS Gayo Daejeon”

WayV‘s Ten performed as part of NCT U for the 2023 SBS Gayo Daejeon. He had a stunning solo dance break during the intro, before transitioning into “Baggy Jeans” with the other members.

What was not broadcast was how he had fallen into a lift right before his solo. Ten was supposed to make his way to the center of the octagon stage by either jumping over the lift or by the small walkway beside it. Due to the dark arena, he misstepped and fell into the lift pit. He soon recovered and continued the show.

Although Ten fell because he could not see the pathway, many criticize SBS for not taking proper safety measures. Not only was the walkway and stage design not good enough, they also did not use warning LED lights or reflective tape to mark out pathways. Not only that, it would not have been difficult to raise the lifts before Ten performs.
