Ella Chen’s 6-Year-Old Son Saw Her Working Out Naked & This Was His Reaction

After nine years, Taiwanese star Ella Chen, 42, is back with a new album Bad Habits.

During the press conference for the album on Thursday (Feb 28), the S.H.E member was asked about some of her bad habits.

Ella, who is married to Malaysian businessman Alvin Lai, shared that she has a habit of baring it all at home and is totally cool with being nude around her six-year-old son Daniel (who is affectionately known as Jin Bao).

She recounted an awkward anecdote when Jin Bao caught her in the buff recently.

Ella had removed her clothes and was about to step into the shower when she stopped to check out her body.

Realising that she hadn’t been working out her bum, she decided to, um, do some exercises. Yes, in the nude.

Jin Bao, who was then watching TV in her room, suddenly said: “Mum, please don’t work out naked, okay?”

Ella and her husband looked at each other, stunned, before apologising: “This is mum’s habit, but this is also mum’s room. I promise you I won’t walk out of the room naked.”

She also felt that her son already has awareness, especially since he had attended sex education classes recently, and that it is important to respect others and diversity.

However, Ella said she had a good reason for working out in the buff.

Recently, she had been experiencing numbness in the left cheek of her buttock, extending down to her foot.

She initially thought it was due to an old injury, but it turned out to be related to exercise and muscle relaxation.

So, when she felt discomfort in her bum, she decided to do some rehabilitation exercises.

Ella explained that she is not in the best physical condition and would experience numbness in her body before going to bed, making it difficult for her to fall asleep.

Pal and fellow S.H.E member Hebe Tien suggested that she try manual therapy.

According to her therapist, she has missed the optimal period for treatment and would now have to retrain the muscle.

“My balance isn’t good, and my pelvis is a bit tilted,” she explained.

She also did not hold back on dishing about her husband and son’s bad habits.

Though Alvin is somewhat of a public figure, he is very relaxed when he’s on the plane and has no qualms about picking his nose, revealed Ella.

And Jin Bao seems to have picked up his bad habit.

“He loves lying on the bed with his legs up and would leave his booger all over the house,” laughed Ella, adding that though gross, she can accept their uncouth ways.
