Former T-ARA Member Accuses Ex-Husband Of Peeing On Their Sons & Smearing Their Faces With Poo

Former member of K-pop group T-ara Han Areum, 29, has made some shocking allegations against her ex-husband, 31-year-old businessman Kim Young Gul, accusing him of abusing their two sons, who turn four and one this year.

In a lengthy Instagram post on Sunday (Mar 3), Areum shared an audio recording in which her elder son recounted the abuse the boys faced at the hands of their father, as well as snaps of bruises on their bodies.

Areum claimed that after she and Young Gul tied the knot in 2019, he became hooked on to gambling and would take out loans to feed his addiction.

He has also never offered her any financial support.

She said he was violent towards her during their four-year marriage, but for the sake of their kids, Areum kept silent about her own abuse and even sent the boys to live with their father as he promised a quicker divorce in return.

However, to her horror, when she met her sons during a divorce negotiation interview, they revealed that they too had been abused.

According to elder son, not only did their dad spit in their faces and pee on them, he also allegedly smeared their faces with faeces.

They were also beat up and kicked out of the house for making noise when Young Gul and his mum were asleep.

“Is this something humans do?” asked Areum.

She said that she has taken her sons home and will continue to fight for them.

Things have been rocky between the couple for some time.

Talk that they were on the verge of divorce began in 2022 after they appeared on TVING’s Caught Between Marriage & Divorce, a reality show about couples who are contemplating and preparing for separation.

Areum later became pregnant with their second child.

In December 2023, Areum announced that they had split and that she would marry her new boyfriend as soon as the divorce is official.
