Taiwanese star Barbie Hsu, 47, and ex-husband, 42-year-old Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei, have been engaged in several legal battles since their divorce in late 2021.
Recently, Xiaofei made several claims in Taiwan court that Barbie had used his credit card on gifts and items for her subsequent marriage to Korean rapper DJ Koo, 54.
She rebutted the claims in a lengthy post on social media, saying that it was Xiaofei who cheated in their marriage.
Barbie also revealed how he had been violent towards her.
During one of his drunken stupors, Xiaofei had pushed Barbie, who was then pregnant, to the ground.
“You then took a Harry Potter hardcover book set and threw it at me,” she wrote.
Following the revelation, “Harry Potter hardcover book set” became a trending topic on Weibo.
While some netizens slammed Xiaofei for hitting his pregnant wife, many, believe it or not, were curious as to how heavy the box set is.
And did he toss one book or the entire set?
Well, here are some answers.
According to some netizens, the collectible set, which consists of seven books, is housed in a trunk-like box and weighs 7.7kg, though others claimed it’s 9.9kg.
Regardless, that’s one heavy box set and even if Xiaofei had hurled one book, it could cause considerable injury if Barbie was hit.
There were comments like “Even one book would be over 1.4kg”, “You can kill someone if it hit the back of the head” and “Don’t talk about hardcover, even paperback version can cause injuries”.
