KKB by-election: MACC to run 24-hour operations room until polling day
PETALING JAYA: A 24-hour operations room will be operated by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to allow the public to report on issues related to corruption and abuse of power throughout the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election.
In a statement, the MACC said the operations rooms will operate starting Saturday (April 27) until polling day on May 11.
“The operations room will be located at the Selangor MACC office at Lot 1, Persiaran Selangor, Seksyen 16, 40200 Shah Alam, Selangor,” it said.
The commission added that the public can submit any reports of corruption or abuse of power via email to [email protected] or by contacting 03-5524 8318 or 03-5525 6500.
The Kuala Kubu Baharu state seat fell vacant following Kee Hiong’s passing on March 21 due to cancer.
The Election Commission (EC) has set April 27 and May 7 for nominations and early voting respectively.
This is the seventh by-election to be held following the 15th general election held in 2022, with six other by-elections held last year.
