24-Year-Old Quadruplets In China Form Band

The sisters, who all graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, were minor celebrities when they were born.

We’ve seen bands with twin sisters, triplets even, but quadruplets? Chinese group 红飞林, or Red on Wood, has got to be a first.

The quartet, made up of 24-year-old sisters Zhu Wanbing, Wanqing, Wanyu, and Wanjie, recently released their album Xin Shen Wei Ding, loosely translated as Undecided Mind.

Born in Nanjing, the identical sisters are not just pretty faces, they’ve got talent to boot.

The singers-songwriters developed their love for music at a very young age and are alums of the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston.

They decided to form their own band as they enjoy performing together.

Though they look the same and pursue similar career paths, the siblings have pretty distinct characteristics.

Wanqing claims to be slightly taller and slimmer, Wanbing is the calm one, Wanyu is straightforward and Wanjie is smart and lively.

Turns out, as children, the sisters were minor celebrities in their hometown.

Their birth caused a sensation not only because they are quadruplets, but also because their mum originally thought she was only having triplets.

Just when she was about to be wheeled away after delivering three babies, her stomach began to hurt, and to everyone’s surprise, out came a fourth child.

The news was so shocking that it made headlines and their parents were inundated with suggestions from the public on what to name the girls.

According to them, their dad was so stressed that he was tempted to just call them A, B, C and D.

They also had a brush with showbiz at age eight when they starred in a movie, and were torchbearers for the 2013 Asian Youth Games in Nanjing.
