KKB polls: Muted atmosphere at Perikatan’s operations room

HULU SELANGOR: Perikatan Nasional’s operations room in Bandar Baru Batang Kali here is devoid of the usual election buzz, with no viewing party for supporters to follow vote-counting for the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election.

There were also no top Perikatan leaders seen.

It has been learnt that the viewing party is a closed-door affair.

Perikatan’s Khairul Azhari Saut is currently lagging far behind Pakatan Harapan’s Pang Sock Tao in the race for the seat.

As of press time, Khairul has garnered 4,733 votes against Pang’s 8,881.

Parti Rakyat Malaysia’s Hafizah Zainudin has 83 votes while independent Nyau Ke Xin has 117 votes.

45 out of 78 voting streams have been counted.
