Worldwide Fans Celebrate Charmaine Sheh’s Birthday

Charmaine Sheh’s (佘詩曼) popularity knows no bounds and she has fans across the world. Recently she finished filming in Malaysia and her fans gifted her with a firework show to show their support. She was recently seen at the airport carefully packaging the gifts fans had given her.

Turning 49 on May 28, Charmaine celebrated with her friends and manager. She shared a photo of herself smiling widely while holding a giant birthday cake on social media. Her fan club prepared the cake, which had pictures of Charmaine in her past roles and the Miss Hong Kong pageant.

Fans in Hangzhou, Chengdu, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen had rented out large screens in malls and on streets to air birthday messages to Charmaine. The same was also done in multiple spots in Mongkok in Hong Kong. There were even fans who purchased a spot in New York’s Times Square.

Charmaine is currently busy promoting for Modern Dynasty 2: The Heir to the Throne <家族榮耀之繼承者>. Costars Raymond Lam (林峯) and Jeannie Chan (陳瀅) had celebrated Charmaine’s birthday during an event. They surprised her with a cake.

Continuing his tradition for the past 13 years, Bobby Au Yeung (歐陽震華) posted photos of themselves at 12 midnight on social media wishing Charmaine a happy birthday. He wrote, “I wish you a happy birthday, good health, beauty, and continued success in your career! (Freeze your eggs).” His comment stems from a talk show many years ago where Charmaine had invited Bobby and Florence Kwok (郭少芸) to her home. At the time, Bobby asked if she had frozen her eggs and Charmaine replied, “I’m already 45 years old. Even if I decide to give birth right away, I’ll be 47 when it’s all done. So when he’s 20 I’ll already be 67….” She was worried and seemed to choke up as she asked if she could still have a child.
