Puerto Rican Singer Don Omar Reveals Cancer Diagnosis
Don Omar has been diagnosed with cancer.
On Monday (June 17), the 46-year-old Puerto Rican singer/rapper, whose real name is William Omar Landrón Rivera, revealed in an Instagram post that he is undergoing treatment after a cancer diagnosis.
“Today yes, but tomorrow I won’t have cancer,” Don Omar wrote on Instagram, which was translated from Spanish. “Good intentions are well received. See you soon. #f–kcancer.”
Along with the announcement, Don Omar shared a photo of himself wearing a hospital wristband from an Orlando medical center.
As of right now, Don Omar did not share any other information about his diagnosis.
Don Omar‘s cancer announcement comes just two after he shared an Instagram Reel featuring dancers auditioning fot he second leg of his Back to Reggaetón Tour.
“The most special thing about today’s auditions is seeing that there are people who want to dare to dream with me,” Don Omar wrote in a post on Saturday, June 15. “Thank you to each of you who gave your all on the dance floor! This second stage of the tour comes with everything.”
